関係代名詞を「2文を1文にする」から始めると、中3でも手順の話になりがちです。本物の英語で who が見られる身近な場所の1つが、求人の貼り紙です。WANTED: A person who ～. なら、名詞を後ろから説明する理由がひと目で分かります。この授業案は、人や物を当てるクイズで who と that の形に慣れたあと、生徒が採用係になって面接し、最後に校内に貼る本物のポスターを書きます。

授業の流れ（50分）
導入: どんな人？どんな物？（12分）
はじめに1文だけ見本を見せます。This is a person who teaches English. Who is it?（先生）。「先生が3つ言います。3つ目まで聞いてから、札に手を挙げてください」と告げます。札を4つ並べ（投影版は画面の下・紙なら黒板）、3文を1文ずつ読みます（1つ目と2つ目で1つずつ消え、3つ目で決まる）。答えのたびに3つ目の文を板書し、消さずに残します。electricity（電気）・wheels（車輪）・forest（森）・hold（入れておく）・fly（操縦する）は、言う前に板書します。
人の3問（Who is it?）

板書から2文を選んで並べ、1文ずつ問います。

きまりを2行で板書します。「名詞のあとに who／that＋動詞で、どんな人・物かを説明できる」「人には who、物には that か which」。分詞の後置修飾を習っていれば、the boy playing soccer と同じで、名詞を後ろから説明している、と一言つなぎます。
始めの一言と面接: 採用係になる（16分）
黒板に大きく WANTED（募集）と書き、hire（雇う）・You're hired!（採用！）・boss（上司）を添えて、こう始めます。
"Our planet needs help. We need people. Today, you are the boss. Who will you hire?"
最後の WANTED の一覧を配ります。生徒は採用係です。教室を歩き、Do you pick up trash at school? のように聞きます。Yes なら You're hired! と言って、その行に名前を書いてもらいます。No なら OK. Thank you. で次の人へ。同じ人に書いてもらえるのは2行までです（6分）。
次に、ペアで報告します。I found a person who picks up trash. It's Mika. の2文を、3人ぶん言います（5分）。先生は Who found a person who picks up trash? と全体に2〜3問聞きます。
机間で見るのは、a person who pick（s の落ち）、a person who she picks（主語の重なり）。Yes の多い人を選んだり、採用の数を比べたりしません。ひとりで立っている生徒がいたら、先生が面接します。
出口: 校内に貼る WANTED ポスター（12分）
形を板書します（WANTED: A person who ～.／WANTED: A machine that ～.）。小さな紙に、あったらいいと思う人か機械を英語で1文書きます（例: WANTED: A person who plants trees at our school.／WANTED: A machine that picks up trash.）。
先生が全部読んでから、模造紙1枚に集めて貼ります。特定の人やクラス、係や当番のことは書きません。「～しない人がいる」と読める文は貼りません。名前は書きません。できなかった生徒は、一覧から1つ写してもかまいません。
本物にする一手は、読む相手を学級の外につくることです。環境委員会や生徒会の先生に先に話しておき、ポスターを廊下や委員会の掲示板に貼ってもらいます。下の学年が読めるように、紙の下に「募集: ～」と日本語を1行添えます。
まとめ（4分）
板書のきまり2行を全員で読み、1枚だけポスターを読み上げて終わります。

入試の英作文で「どんな人か・どんな物か」を1文で説明する形につながります。次は目的格（a thing that you can use again）。紙の練習は定着ドリルと10分小テスト、活用は人・物あてクイズをつくろうへ。
