導入: 見学先クイズ——先生の行きたい所はどれ？（12分）
「班別行動の行き先です。先生が行きたい1か所を当ててください」と告げます。画面の下の札4枚（その町の見学先はこの4つ）は、見学先・入場料（中学生）・できてから何年か。先生が1文ずつ読み、生徒は3つ目まで聞いてから、その札に手を挙げます（紙なら黒板に4つ書く）。1つ目と2つ目で札が1つずつ消え、3つ目で決まります。答えのたびに、その1文を全員で言います（1問目は The zoo is cheaper than the castle.）。1問ごとに別の町で、数字は架空の例です（／で区切って読む・○が答え・shrine＝神社、aquarium＝水族館 は板書）。

4人班。条件は、2か所で入場料が合わせて1,000円まで、駅から歩く時間が合わせて30分まで。「いちばん人気の水族館は入れない。いちばんいい2か所を、比べる文で班に納得させられるか」と挑ませます。1人ずつ案と、形のちがう理由2文を言います（Let's go to the temple and the museum. The temple is the oldest of the five. The museum is as cheap as the temple.）。反対するときも比べる文で（But the castle is more popular than the museum.）。It's 400 yen. と数字だけなら、聞く人は Is it cheaper than the garden? と聞き返します。決まった案を3文で書きます。
出口: 後輩へのおすすめメモ3文（8分）
本物の修学旅行（未定なら遠足か地元）の行き先3〜4か所の入場料と駅からの時間を、授業の前に公式の案内で確かめて映します。来年そこへ行く中1へ、1人3文のおすすめメモを書きます。1文は -er than か more 〜 than、1文は the -est か the most（of か in）、1文は as 〜 as。となりの人と読み合って形を確かめ、集めて来年のしおりの係に渡します。
